It’s always fun visiting 8 Waves Waterpark & Hotel. Just yesterday, we had a quick trip to this wonderful theme park in San Rafael, Bulacan. I’ve been in 8 Waves a couple of times before but it was the first time for Jacob (my son). He was overly happy seeing everything that 8 Waves Waterpark has to offer – from the Whalee at the entrance, to Noah’s Ark and the slides inside. We’re not really visiting 8 Waves for a swim that day since we’re just visiting a good friend there. But nevertheless, Jacob really enjoyed the ocular we had. Can’t wait to pay another visit this coming days and for sure, Jacob will have a great time.
Update:
We did visit 8 Waves Waterpark & Hotel last April 10, 2011. Though it’s a Sunday, it wasn’t very crowded at that time. The sun is up and everyone did have a great time especially Jacob. He stayed most of the time at the Noah’s Ark slide – one of the pools for kids. The ark design, the animals, the slide really did entertain him. The other pools like the Bubble pool, Safari Slide and the Wave pool are just too much for Jacob that he is only at the sides. Oh, one thing I noticed, even though the sun is all up, the continuous water will make sure you’re cooled down when you take a dip.
I just wish that they put some nets to cover the Wave Pool. I love the feel of the waves but too much sun sure stops a lot of people from going there, including me.

Cottages – The cottage we got had a padlock so it’s safe that everyone goes for a swim and just leave all their belongings in the cottages. Though not all cottages have padlocks, there are also open cottages like nipa huts.
Food – Sad to say, bringing of food is prohibited in the resort. But that doesn’t mean that you’ll go hungry inside 8 Waves Waterpark. They do have a Diner that serves what you can buy in any fast food chains like spaghetti, hamburger etc. They also have a grilling station if you like the inihaw – pusit, tilapia, liempo – all priced reasonably. Aside from that, they also have a Mini Stop and Pancake House inside. Not to mention the food kiosk that serves Squid Balls, Kikiam, Nilagang Mais, Banana Q and others. There’s also a roaming Greenwich pizza if you’re lucky.
And if you really want to save some bucks for food, you may eat at the parking area just like what we saw when we visited the place. Some tables were placed at the parking area for this purpose.

Parking Area – vast parking area, not a problem.
Shower Rooms / Toilets – very clean.

Overall Experience – Fun, fun, fun. If you haven’t been to 8 Waves Waterpark & Hotel, I’d definitely recommend going there especially if you got kids who enjoy the water. The different pools and the overall design of the waterpark is superb. Enough to give you some leg work going around but not too tiring on your part.
